OREANDA-NEWS. November 20, 2009. Meeting of IIC with Standard & Poor’s, an international rating company, being among the three leading companies of the world, was held, reported the press-centre of IBA.

The meeting was of an introductory nature, and there were discussed both the issues of a common nature concerning the country’s insurance market, and also more specific issues regarding the financial indices of IIC and its place and status in the market. Special attention was paid at the meeting directly to the awarding of the rating.

Preparedness of one of the leading international rating agencies on awarding a rating to IIC may be evaluated as the next confirmation of the stability in the country’s financial sector of economy by international experts and analytics, and it is also the index of stability of IIC`s position.

It should be noted that at the beginning of this month, IIC was awarded a financial stability rating (Insurance Financial Strength Rating, IFSR) by Moody’s Moody's Investors Service on the level of "B2", with rating forecast – “stable”. To date, this rating is, by its level, the highest one among all the insurance companies of Azerbaijan.
