OREANDA-NEWS. November 20, 2009. As it was informed in the press service of SC “Moldovagaz”, the establishment of the gas tariffs is made according to the Methodology confirmed by ANRE. The structure of tariffs includes expenses for gas acquisition, its transportation and distribution, taking into account technical needs and losses as well as payment of taxes and duties.

The order of calculation of gas tariffs does not depend on the shareholders or the management of SC "Moldovagaz ". The basic component of the gas tariff is the cost of the gas acquisition. The share of gas acquisition makes 75 % and the share of expenses on the maintenance of SC “Moldovagaz” staff is only 1 % and practically does not influence the general size of the tariff. Since 2006, the price of the gas constantly increases and almost reached the European level.

In 2006, it made US133 for 1 thousand cubic meters; in 2007 – US 173, in 2008 - US 232 and for 9 months of 2009- US 300. "Moldovagaz" underlines that in addition of constant supervision on behalf of ANRE, the activity of the company is periodically inspected by the Center for economic crimes and corruption prevention, tax departments as well as the Revision Commission of the company.

Thus, no substantial remarks on behalf of the inspection bodies were made. "Moldovagaz" underlines that, despite the statements on existence of other sources of gas deliveries, gas supplies to Moldova is carried out according to additional agreements to the long-term contract, annually concluded between SC "Gazprom" and SC "Moldovagaz". "Moldovagaz" does not import natural gas from the other suppliers as it is technically impossible.

Moreover, the imported Russian gas is resold neither to SC "Moldovatransgaz" nor to any other intermediary. SC "Moldovagaz" sells gas to distribution enterprises and SC "Moldovatrnasgaz" renders only services on gas transportation as well as service related to the maintenance of the gas pipelines and other objects.
