Raiffeisen International Bank-Holding AG, a member of the RZB Group headed by Raiffeisen Zentralbank Osterreich AG (RZB), is deploying over 30,000 high security Optimum card payment terminals and PIN entry devices to thousands of merchants across Central and Eastern Europe. Raiffeisen International has also purchased Hypercom Network Access Controllers to optimize transaction delivery to the bank host system, reported the press-centre of Raiffeisen.

By combining the payment terminals and network access controllers, Raiffeisen International ensures fast and secure acceptance of electronic transactions for thousands of retailers across CEE, many of whom will be equipped with a state-of-the-art POS terminal for the first time. The uniform product line as well as the economies of scale resulting from this transaction will enhance Raiffeisen International’s cost structure in that particular business.
