OREANDA-NEWS. November 24, 2009. Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee held at the Company’s Headquarters a meeting dedicated to the condition of wells at Gazprom fields and the results of their workover in 2009.

Taking part in the meeting were Vasily Podyuk, Member of the Management Committee – Head of the Gas, Gas Condensate and Oil Production, heads of the Company’s related subdivisions as well as production, processing and service subsidiaries.

The meeting participants noted that Gazprom well stock was in a satisfactory condition. Temporary suspension of some wells caused by lower gas consumption due to the crisis hadn’t led to the deterioration of their condition. At the moment practically all the earlier suspended wells are again in operation.

The participants also underlined that well repair operations were progressing on schedule and would be carried out in full until year-end.

Furthermore, Gazprom steps a number of activities aimed at further enhancing the well operation and repair efficiency. In recent years large scale work has been performed on the development and launch of the domestic well equipment manufacture for the import substitution purposes. Several Russian machine builders started turning out wellhead equipment, casing and tubing of the foreign quality. The application of this equipment will enable to substantially reduce well construction and repair costs.

Based on the meeting results the relevant subdivisions and subsidiaries were tasked with preparing in 2010 a program of well repair operations at Gazprom facilities for 2011–2015.
