OREANDA-NEWS. November 30, 2009. According to Sergey Krikalev, Head of Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center, there are no spare seats for tourists in Russian Soyuzes due to enlargement of the ISS crew to 6. To maintain crew rotation, the vehicles are to fly to the station four times a year instead of two. In 2010, after US shuttle retirement, Soyuzes will become the only crew transport vehicle capable of carrying cosmonauts and astronauts to the ISS and back.

In addition, two three-seat "safe haven" Soyuzes are to be attached to the station to rescue the crew in case of life-hazardous accident.Guy Laliberte was lucky to visit the station with permanent 6 crew.

So far, space flight participants have to wait. Roscosmos Head Anatoly Perminov said in Sept. that space tourists wouldn`t fly for a couple of year. However, in 2012, Russia is to find a misterious new opportunity to bring "space tourists to new orbits".
