OREANDA-NEWS. December 01, 2009. The highest professional level of organization of the II International Exhibition of Calligraphy was marked with UFI trophy.

The exhibitions approved by UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, Paris, “are equipped with modern exhibition equipment, well-developed infrastructure, provide a full range of services and goods proceeding from the needs of the national market and region’s economy”. The Exhibition of Calligraphy which has recently finished in Moscow suits the definition very well. It was held in three up-to-date pavilions, one of which is absolutely unique for Russia. A comfortable access way, large parking sites, well-developed information system, advanced facilities for the physically challenged people, cafe, cinema hall with comfortable seats…

A huge number of visitors - and the show was attended by more that 21, 000 people - speaks for itself and proves the ancient art of calligraphy is popular in the contemporary society. Now when computer is no more a prestigious gadget, and common standards make people and nations lose their individuality, we come to appreciating the beauty, fineness, individuality of handwritten texts. The more so if the artworks are on display in fine and elegant interiors.
