OREANDA-NEWS. December 02, 2009. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) included "Nizhnekamskneftekhim" Ltd. in the Register of Economic Entities with more than 35% share of a relevant market, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

On 23rd November 2009, FAS Russia issued an Order to include "Nizhnekamskneftekhim" Ltd. in the Register of Economic Entities with more than 35% share in the market of services for ethylene transportation via a major ethylene pipeline or that dominate a relevant market, if the federal laws establish the cases for recognizing dominance of economic entities for such markets.

"Nizhnekamskneftekhim" Ltd. provides ethylene transportation services and is also involved in production of chemical products (synthetic rubber, plastic materials, etc.).

FAS Russia analyzed competitive environment in the market in question and established that "Nizhnekamskneftekhim" Ltd. controls more than 50% of this market.

"The decision of the Antimonopoly Service is aimed at preventing and revealing antimonopoly violations in the market of ethylene transportation via a major ethylene pipeline. Including the company in the Register means that it needs to present to the antimonopoly authority information regarding its ongoing activities and economic performance as well as seek consent of the antimonopoly authority for completing transactions in accordance with the Law on protection of competition", said Andrey Tsyganov, Deputy Head of FAS Russia.
