OREANDA-NEWS. December 03, 2009. The Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) found that the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervisions and "SOGAZ-Agro" Insurance Company" Ltd. violated the antimonopoly legislation. The Federal Service and the insurance company concluded a cooperation agreement that restricted competition (Article 16 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition"), reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

According to the agreement, the Federal Service and insurance company "collaborated" in providing insurance coverage of liability of organizations that have hazardous production facilities. The Office of the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervisions in the Tyumen region was obligated to assist the insurance company in organizing pre-insurance expert assessment of safety and emergency tolerance of such facilities; provide information support among subordinate organizations; consider and agree upon the Insurance Rules of "SOGAZ-Agro" Insurance Company" Ltd. The agreement could have restricted entry of other insurance companies to the market of the liability insurance of organizations that have hazardous production facilities.
