OREANDA-NEWS. December 03, 2009. Over 8.4 million square metres of roads have been repaired in Moscow this year.

According to a press conference devoted to the road safety in Moscow during the winter of 2009-2010 held on December 3, the task of repairing road surfaces has been fulfiled completely.

In particular, 6.4 million square metres of roads or 282 objects have been overhauled, another 347 objects with the total length of 2 million square metres have undergone maintenance work in the Russian capital this year.

“We are now on the threshold of getting new road marking technologies which will enable to start marking traffic lanes right after winter – there will be no need to wait for warm weather. Besides, this work will be done at one go instead of the current two stages,” the press conference materials emphasize.
