OREANDA-NEWS. December 04, 2009. As part of EuroChem’s large-scale capital investments to increase apatite concentrate production in the concentrate drying section of Kovdorsky GOK’s concentrating plant, a new vacuum pumping station was constructed and launched. The total cost of the project is RUR 48 million.

The decision to build the station, complete with high-efficiency pumps, was based on the need to save energy and cut production costs for apatite concentrate. The state-of-the-art pumps will reduce losses of air required in raw material production technology, and save significant amounts of energy, including fuel oil, due to humidity reductions from material drying.
