OREANDA-NEWS. The Expert Council of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) on Railway Transport will meet on 9th December 2009, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The meeting agenda includes the following items:

1. Enforcement measures on the market of cargo transportation in the final stage of structural reforms of the railway transport. This stage of reforms is exercised in accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of 18th May 2001 (as amended by the Decrees of the Government of the Russian Federation of 20th December 2004 and 22nd July 2009) "On the Programme of Structural Reforms in the Railway Transport" in course of executing the Action Plan for the Programme of Structural Reform of the Railway Transport for 2006-2010 (approved by the Executive Order of the Government of the Russian Federation of 10th August 2006).

2. The situation with transportation of the goods, classified under the Transportation Rules as perishable, by railway transport in general use.

3. The Regulations for road transportation of the goods in company's containers, devised "TransContainer" OJSC, and the standard contracts for handing over containers owned by "TransContainer" OJSC to the road transport of consignors/consignees.

The Expert Council will also determine the major goals of FAS Russia for developing effective competition on railway transport.
