OREANDA-NEWS. December 7, 2009. Official delegation at the head of the mayor Synoda Akira and Niigata vice-moderator Sata Yukio has visited Vladivostok city. This visit has been devoted to discussion of twinned cities cooperation in the course of preparation for celebration of Vladivostok 150 anniversary and forum holding of APEC-2012 countries.

During the visit to the Primorye capital honoured guests have expressed a wish to meet with the General Director of Vladivostok Air OJSC Vladimir Saibel for acquaintance with the company operation, and also to discuss subjects about activization of cargo and passenger transportations on the routes Vladivostok — Niigata and Khabarovsk — Niigata.

During the meeting Japanese party represented by Niigata mayor Synoda Akira has shown appreciation to Vladivostok Air work and particularly Mr. Synoda has expressed gratitude to the airline for realization of regular air service Vladivostok — Niigata and Khabarovsk — Niigata. As he said, these routes were popular and will be always popular among Japanese tourists. Niigata city hall plans in the sequel to develop relations with the Far Eastern cities of Russia considering airline support and assistance in the matter of further air service development.

Representative delegations of Vladivostok Air OJSC and Niigata municipality have expressed firm mutual confidence that close partner relations and strengthening of mutually advantageous relationships between the parties should affect inevitably on passenger streams activization, both from the Far East, Siberia to Japan, and air transportations of the Japanese tourists to the Far Eastern cities of Russia.

At the meeting parties have also discussed the tariff policy at the Russian-Japanese routes, prospect of interaction broadening on arising questions.

At the end of the meeting both parties have confirmed their firm intention of close strategic cooperation in all directions of aircraft business and interaction in the field of the international flights organization for further passenger air transportations development between Russia and Japan.
