OREANDA-NEWS. December 7, 2009. First Deputy Head of the Federal Customs Service Vladimir Malinin paid official visit to the Republic of Argentina.

Within the frames of the visit Vladimir Malinin met with Ricardo Echegaray, Head of the Federal Administration of Public Revenues of the Republic of Argentina.

The representatives of the Russian and Argentinean Parties discussed a number of questions concerning promotion of cooperation between customs administrations of Russia and Argentina.

The representatives of the Russian delegation reviewed the work of customs authorities of Argentina, situated in the sea- and airports, where they studied principles of customs control and customs clearance of exported and imported goods with the use of information technologies.

A Memorandum between the Federal customs Service and the Federal Administration of Public Revenues of the Republic of Argentina on mutual trade statistic information exchange was also signed.

The document is the basis of further cooperation between customs administrations of our countries in the field of foreign trade statistics. It will allow to create effective statistic system, provide timely customs services with reliable statistic data for monitoring of economic cooperation between Russia and Argentina, and encourage the development of trade and economic relations.

With this Memorandum the Russian FCS intends not only to provide statistic information exchange but also hold expert meetings.
