OREANDA-NEWS. December 09, 2009. In the frameworks of realization of the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the People's Republic of China on Cooperation in the Field of Countering Unfair Competition and Antimonopoly Policy a meeting between the officials of the FAS Russia and the delegation of the Ministry of commerce of the Peoples Republic of China headed by Mr. Zheng Wen, Deputy Director General of the Anti-Monopoly Bureau of the MOFCOM was held in the FAS Russia. MOFCOM is the authorized body, responsible for the control over economic concentration, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

During the meeting the Parties discussed the main trends of agencies' activities in the field of competition policy, informed each other on the main tasks, powers and organization chart of the agencies, changes in the antimonopoly legislation of both countries. MOFCOM' delegation informed about the structure of the antimonopoly bodies in China including about the activity of the Antimonopoly Commission of the People's Republic of China and the Antimonopoly Bureau of the MOFCOM.

Besides, the issues of economic concentration control, mergers review procedure, thresholds of economic concentration, economic analysis when considering the transactions on economic concentration and assessment of competition conditions in domestic markets, antimonopoly law enforcement were discussed. The Parties exchanged normative legal documents.

The agencies agreed to develop cooperation in the field of economic concentration control, to interact and exchange information when considering cross-border mergers in compliance with the rules of confidentiality.
