OREANDA-NEWS. December 10, 2009. Dear Valentyn Oleksandrovych, Absence of any real and available facts, which could be given by the SBU (the Ukrainian Security Service) and categorical tone of your statement - which you have made on December 9, 2009 at the meeting in the President's Secretariat - with reference to the involvement with conversion transactions and financial backing of the election campaign that was attributed to the Bank "Finance and Credit", casts some doubts on the competency and freedom from bias of your subordinates, what we consider to be a mandatory work requirement for the Security Service personnel.

The SBU subordinates who were preparing this information for you, had been very much aware that your statement - which was made at high level - would not just draw a response in the mass media, but would also cause deep tectonic shifts that cut to the quick any banking structure. Besides, you should have realized that to invalidate 100% false and untruthful information is quite a difficult task for any bank.

Being the Chief Executive of the Bank "Finance and Credit", as well as being responsible not only for all aspects of work of entrusted to me banking structure, but also for the funds and psychological comfort of hundreds of thousands of depositors, - I immediately request rebuttal of the accusations, with reference to the Bank's involvement with the transactions, you made public. We would not like to assume that such a highly-respected governmental agency descended to the level of black PR, though the facts of holding the press-conference at the same day plus duplication of false and untruthful information, force us to call this in question.

In addition to that, I would like to inform you that the input of utterly negative information about the Bank "Finance and Credit", gives me the right to appeal to the Association of Ukrainian Banks, and I, undoubtedly, will win their support, since the reputation of each bank cannot be "a small coin".
