OREANDA-NEWS. December 14, 2009. Inspectors from the Russian Federation Emergency Situations Ministry’s Krasnodar Territory Division visited EuroChem Belorechenskie Minudobrenia (EuroChem-BMU) for a planned review of civil defense and protection of the public from natural and man-made disasters.

The inspectors praised EuroChem-BMU for its organization of emergency prevention and response measures.

The team tested the operations of the command, communications, alert and information systems, verified the readiness of emergency rescue personnel and civil defense resources, and checked logistics, food, medical and other stocks.  The inspectors signed off a clean inspection protocol at the end of their visit.

During the past four years, EuroChem-BMU has implemented emergency prevention and fire safety projects worth RUR 41.8 million, including the first phase of a perimeter surveillance and alarm system, a newly installed local alert system, security and fire alarms for all company buildings and structures, and аn automatic dry chemical powder fire-fighting system commissioned in the main building of the compound mineral fertilizer shop.
