OREANDA-NEWS. December 14, 2009. JSC Khartsyzsk Tube Works (KhTW), part of Metinvest Group, in November 2009 produced 20.98 thous. t of large diameter pipes (LDP).

In November KhTW produced 20.98 thous. t of large diameter pipes, which is by 9.67 thous. t or 68.5% below October performance.

In November the Enterprise completed the works under the Central Asia-China Project, which was launched in August 2008. Total volume of pipes manufactured comprised 550.00 thous. t. The Project related shipments comprised 547.57 thous. t.

November production decline is due to completion of the Company's liabilities under the Central Asia-China Project.

Central Asia-China Project is a cross-country gas pipe-line which will connect gas transport infrastructure of China with large natural gas   fields in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.

JSC Khartsyzsk Tube Works (KhTW) is the largest plant in CIS that manufactures large diameter longitudinal electric-welded pipes from 478 to 1420 mm for cross-country gas and oil pipelines. KhTW production capacity is over 1.1 mln. tpa of pipes.
