OREANDA-NEWS. December 15, 2009. Over 506,000 metric tons of petroleum products were hauled in November 2009 in Freight One tanks on the Far Eastern Railway, which is three times more than in October.

In November, Freight One accounted for about half of the total haulage of oil freight on the Far Eastern Railway. More than 8,600 tanks were provided for loading.

The bulk of the oil freight, more than 185,000 metric tons, was hauled for CJSC YukosTransservice, partly for export and partly for the domestic market. More than 157,000 metric tons of black oil products were hauled under a contract with CJSC NefteTransService.

"October was marked by a decrease in oil haulage as a number of oil refineries reduced production due to planned maintenance. By November, oil haulage was resumed at the previous level, which required an increase in the number of tanks on the Far Eastern Railway. "Freight One owns enough rolling stock to handle the increase," said Branch Director Victor Osipov.
