The meeting between the representatives of the FAS Russia, Deputy Director General of the "Roszhilkommunsertifikatsia "(Ministry of Regional Development of Russia) Mr. Igor Kononenko and the delegation of the Administration of Industry and Commerce of Guangdong Province of the Peoples Republic of China (AIC of Guangdong Province of China), headed by Mr. Li Qiao, Deputy Director General of AIC of Guangdong Province of China was held in the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia), reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The meeting was held in the frames of realization of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Federal Antimonopoly Service (Russian Federation) and the State Administration for Industry and Commerce of the People's Republic of China (SAIC) for the Implementation of the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the People's Republic of China on Cooperation in the Field of Countering Unfair Competition and Antimonopoly Policy in 2008-2009.

The AIC of Guangdong Province of China is one of the 31 provincial, autonomous regional AICs in the SAIC' system and is responsible for supervision and regulation of the market, enforcement of the antimonopoly legislation, fair market competition protection and protection of rights and interests of enterprises and consumers in Guangdong Province at the South of China.

The representatives of the Antimonopoly Service informed Chinese Party on the structure, activity, the main tasks and authorities of the central and regional offices of the FAS Russia.

Participants of the meeting discussed issues of reforming the market of fixed and mobile communication services, protection of competition in this area, as well as regulation of prices in oil products market and competition law enforcement issues in these sectors. The Russian Party informed the Chinese colleagues about the procedure of case proceeding, decisions making and sanctions imposing for violation of antitrust legislation. The parties agreed to continue cooperation and information exchange in the field of protection of competition.
