OREANDA-NEWS. December 18, 2009. The UAZ-3909 has served as the model for the mobile office.  The new special vehicles are intended to serve pensioners in rural, remote, and hard-to-access regions of Russia.  The new vehicles have three sections: the driver’s section, the office space and the customer space.  The office space has custom-made reversible seats, a collapsible table, a microwave, a fridge, and a document safe.  The customer section has separate lighting and a ceramic stove to provide comfort in cold weather.  The office on wheels is equipped with Dometic AC system, and Hitachi benzene power source.  The power source will provide autonomous functioning of the mobile office, which guarantees uninterrupted work in areas with no electricity supply.  With the mobile office, Pension Fund staff will be able to provide services in any location in Russia where there are no pension service offices.  Each specially-equipped UAZ mobile office, including all equipment and delivery to remote areas of Russia will cost about RUR 800,000.

According to Anton Chubykin, supervisor of the project for the Pension Fund, their new special vehicle will be popular.  “In the future we will sell this vehicle as a mobile office to other state and corporate bodies who work actively in mobile units across Russia,” Mr. Chubykin said.
