OREANDA-NEWS. December 21, 2009. It is provided by the fiscal policy for 2010, approved by Moldovan parliament in the final reading. Currently, the excise taxes on gasoline in Moldova make 1,8 thousand leis per ton (US146.3 at the current rate of the National Bank), diesel fuel - 750 leis(US 61).

Starting the next year, they will grow up to 2700 leis (US 220) and 1,125 leis (US 91,5), respectively. Increasing in the excise taxes on gasoline and diesel fuel will provide additional budget revenue, which will be used to support the agricultural sector through the provision of compensation to farmers for fuel.

As it was reported before, the draft budget has provided the increase in the excise duties on gasoline only (to support agricultural producers), as well as the increase in the road tax for diesel cars. In the final reading the increase in the road tax was replaced by the double growth of the excise tax on the diesel fuel.
