OREANDA-NEWS. December 22, 2009. The city authorities plan to allocate 23.3 billion roubles (~USD 777 million) from Moscow’s budget funds for developing the underground railway network in the Russian capital next year.

The first deputy Moscow Mayor Yury Roslyak said at a press conference on December 16 that Maryina Roshcha station would be opened at the pale-green line of the Moscow Metro in May 2010.

The official added that 38 billion roubles (~USD 1.3 billion) were to be spent for improving the traffic network in Moscow in 2010. In particular, it is planned to complete the reconstruction of Krestovsky Road Bridge, a section of Varshavskoe Highway from the MKAD to Shcherbinka Township, Panfilovsky Avenue in Zelenograd, a section of Dmitrovskoe Highway from the small ring of the Moscow Railway to Korovinskoe Highway and to commission a road intersection near Sokol station of the Moscow Metro.

Besides, Zvenigorodsky Avenue will still be under construction in 2010, so will the roads between Zvenigorodsky Highway and MIBC Moskva-City, the fourth ring road and a section of Bolshaya Leningradka.

According to Mr Roslyak, almost 13.5 kilometres of roads are to be commissioned in Moscow next year.
