OREANDA-NEWS. December 22, 2009. A new section of the blue line of the Moscow Metro from Strogino Station to Mitino Station is to be open to the public on December 26.

This section of Moscow’s underground railway network will include 3 new stations called Myakinino, Volokolamskoe and Mitino.

Head of Moscow Metro Dmitry Gaev added that building of a 7-kilometre stretch of railway line was estimated to cost 40 billion roubles (~USD 1.3 billion).

The official found difficulty in specifying the exact cost of the development as it was started in late 1980s.
