OREANDA-NEWS. December 25, 2009. Chairman of the Board and CEO of Russian Agricultural Bank Yuri V. Trushin attended the working meeting of the Association of Farms and Agricultural Cooperatives of Russia (Association), reported the press-centre of RusAg.

Ensuring credit availability for the development of SME’s involved in agribusiness, personal household plots, farms, and improving living standards in the rural areas are core activities of RusAg.

SME’s account for about a half of agribusiness gross output. In 2009, RusAg extended 5 thousand loans to farmers and 3 thousand loans to agricultural cooperatives. Today, the Bank provides financial resources to every seventh agribusiness enterprise. RusAg share in lending to farmers is 71%, to agricultural cooperatives – 93%.

Starting 2009, the Bank implements sector special-purpose program on Development of Family Dairy Farms. Under the program 300 dairy farms are to be built. In 2H2009, RusAg extended RUR 120 million for the new program implementation.
