OREANDA-NEWS. December 29, 2009. OJSC Altai-Koks produced over 2.3 mn tons of coke with 6% moisture content in nine months of 2009, which is 19% less than the figure for the similar period of the last year.

The Company produced about 100,000 tons of tar (-21%), 53,000 of ammonia sulfate (-18%), and 54,000 tons of coal pitch (-24%). The decline in production is accounted for by reduced coke consumption by steel companies at the beginning of the year.
