OREANDA-NEWS. December 30, 2009. The Estonian government at its year's last meeting on Tuesday approved the 2010 implementation plan of the national enterprise policy for 2007-2013.

Activities envisaged by the plan will be financed from the state budget and the EU Structural Funds, payments from which are planned to total 1.94 billion kroons (EUR 124 mln) in 2010, the government press office said.

The Ministry of Economy and Communications pointed out that most of the support is made up of euro monies and that the volume of the activities has grown in comparison with previous years, including as a result of the programs of the government's additional aid package in support of the economy.

Growing the most are payments to support investments, with success-based subordinated loan and a credit line for banks added as new measures. At the same time, the programs launched in previous years will continue.

Different areas of activity of the the national enterprise policy will get the following amounts of support in 2010: development of know-how and skills 187 million kroons, support of investments by companies and improving access to capital 2.1 billion kroons, support for the internationalization of businesses 108 million kroons, and developing of the legal environment 2.4 million kroons.

The implementation plan was drawn up by the Ministry of Economy and Communications and the activities envisaged under the plan will be carried out by Enterprise Estonia and Kredex. The total value of the implementation plan is more than 2.4 billion kroons.
