OREANDA-NEWS. December 31, 2009. “Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company” Joint Stock Company (KEGOC) made payment of dividends for 2008 to the sole shareholder, NWF “Samruk–Kazyna” JSC. Dividends amount came to KZT 746,043,700 or 10% of consolidated net profit. According to the approved annual financial statements of KEGOC JSC, the company profit for 2008 came to KZT 7.460 bln. Annual consolidated financial statement for 2008 was confirmed by Deloitte LLP, auditing firm, and approved by the sole shareholder in August, 2009.

Net profit according to the results of activity in 2008 was KZT 7 bln. 460 mln. Net profit growth is determined by growth of profits from operating activities by 25.3 % in comparison with the last year. In 2008 profits came to KZT 33.331.586 ths., this being 17 % or KZT 4 bln. 802 mln. more than in 2007.

Volume of expenses for 2008 came to KZT 27 bln. 541 mln., this being 6.2 % or KZT 1 bln. 624 mln more than the similar index in 2007.

At present 100 % shareholding in KEGOC authorized capital is owned by NWF “Samruk –Kazyna” JSC.

KEGOC fulfills functions of System Operator for Kazakhstan Unified Power System, the main objective of which is to provide the system sustainable operation.
