OREANDA-NEWS. January 13, 2010. In 2009 JSC "KazTransOil" increased volume of oil transportation for 7, 2%.

According to factual data, the volume of oil transportation through the system of main pipelines of JSC "KazTransOil" for 12 months of 2009 was calculated as 50 mln. 885 thou. tons. In comparison with the same period of 2008, the volume of transportation grew for 3 mln. 417 thou. tons (the factual figure for 12 months of 2008 was 47 mln. 467 thou. tons). Oil cargo turnover reached the level of 33 billion 513 mln. tons. km. and increased for 1 billion 247 mln. tons.km in comparison with the figure for 2008.

Such record annual level of main production indicators throughout the history of existence of the Company was reached thanks to, first of all, increase of volumes oil production and handover by hydrocarbon producers to the oil pipelines system of the Company, secondly, thanks to organizational activities held by JSC "KazTransOil" on improving efficiency of pipeline network operation. In particular, thanks to use of anti-turbulent additives at Kazakhstan and Russian sections of "Atyrau-Samara" oil pipeline, JSC "KazTransOil" managed to implement its commitments, fixed in the February Protocol on the issue of transit at the high level meeting between directors of JSC "KazTransOil" and JSC "Transneft" in Moscow, namely to ensure transportation of not less than 17,5 mln. tons of Kazakhstan oil through "Atyrau-Samara" oil pipeline in 2009. According to the results of 2009 the volume of transportation through "Atyrau-Samara" oil pipeline made 17 mln. 504 thou.tons (factual figure for 2008 was 16 mln. 770 thou,tons).

According to the results of 12 months of 2009, the volume of oil transportation to the "Atasu-Alashankou" oil pipeline was calculated at the level of 7 mln. 699 thou. tons of oil. In comparison with the same period of 2008, this indicator increased for 1 mln. 586 thou. tons, or for 26 % (factual figure for 12 months of 2008 was 6 mln. 113 thou.toms). Such significant growth of transit capacity of "Atasu-Alashankou" oil pipeline was reached thanks to launch of interim oil pumping station No.8 in the second half of 2008. Also the growth of oil transportation volume contributed to increase of volume of Russian oil transit through the "Omsk-Pavlodar-Atasu-Alashankou" route - 1 mln. 499 thou. tons for 12 months of the current year (factual figure for 2008 was 1 mln. 37 thou.tons).

Transit of Russian oil through Kazakhstan section of "TON-2" according to the results of 12 months of 2009 made 5 mln. 358 thou.tons, which is 372 thou. tons more than in the same period of 2008 (factual figure for 12 months of 2008 was 4 mln. 986 thou. tons of oil).

Significant increase of volume of oil loading to tankers at GOPS Aktau for further transportation through the Caspian Sea (9 mln. 274 thou, tons) was observed in the last year. This indicator exceeds the result of 2008 for 1 mln. 695 thou. tons, or for 22%. Such high results were achieved thanks to organizational activities held by JSC "KazTransOil" on improving oil unloading process from railway cisterns.

JSC "KazTransOil" carries out delivery of Volga water to consumers of Atyrau and Mangistau oblasts of Kazakhstan through Astrahan-Mangyshlak waterline. During 12 months of 2009, the volume of water supply made 18 mln. 926 thou. cubic meters (factual figure for 12 months of 2008 was 19 thou. 501 cubic meters).

As a whole JSC "KazTransOil" is assessed as stably developing enterprise whose activities comply with contemporary tendencies in the field of oil transportation.
