OREANDA-NEWS. January 13, 2010. The Gazprom Headquarters hosted a meeting moderated by Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of the Company’s Management Committee. The meeting was dedicated to pipe products supply to the Company in 2010–2012.

Participating in the meeting were members of the Management Committee: Oleg Aksyutin, Head of the Gas Transportation, Underground Storage and Utilization Department, and Yaroslav Golko, Head of the Investment and Construction Department, as well as heads and experts from specialized subdivisions of Gazprom, Gazprom komplektatsiya, Gazprom invest Zapad, Gazprom invest Vostok, Yamalgazinvest and Gazpromtrans.

In addition, the meeting was attended by representatives from Pipe Metallurgical Company, United Metallurgical Company, Severstal, Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works, CHTPZ Group and Pipe Manufacturers Association.

The meeting participants addressed the issues related to the process of planning and arranging supplies of domestically manufactured large-diameter pipes for Gazprom in the upcoming triennial period. Special attention was paid to timely delivery of pipes for top priority gas transmission projects in Russia. In particular, construction of the Bovanenkovo – Ukhta gas trunkline system, the Sakhalin – Khabarovsk – Vladivostok gas transmission system, the Gryazovets – Vyborg, the Pochinki – Gryazovets and the Dzhubga – Lazarevskoye – Sochi gas pipelines.

The information provided by pipe manufacturers on production development plans and prioritized utilization of domestic strip for pipeline manufacturing was considered at the meeting. It was noted that Gazprom’s orientation toward the procurement of domestically manufactured competitive pipe products provided considerable support to Russia’s metallurgical industry development.

According to the meeting results, specialized subdivisions of Gazprom and its subsidiary companies were entrusted with the tasks aimed at further enhancement of procurement planning efficiency and pipe products delivery in compliance with the schedules for top priority gas transmission projects implementation.
