OREANDA-NEWS. January 13, 2010. Sosnovsky Shipyard (Sosnovka, Vyatskopolyansky district, Kirov region) has started building a supply vessel, laying its keel. The project DCV47 barge is to be built for Kamchatka, ordered by Federal Agency of Maritime and River Transport (Rosmorrechflot) of Russian Ministry of Transport. There are currently two sea ro-propelled barges of carrying capacity at 250 tons under construction on the dockyard of Sosnovsky, Marine Engineering Bureau, the designer of the vessel reported.
 
Marine Ro-propelled barge of carrying capacity at 250 tons of the project DCV47 designed for transportation of general, bulk and container cargoes on the cargo deck, wheeled and tracked vehicles by roll-on manner, raid loading and unloading of ships, the supply of these goods to the wild coast with the possibility of dehydration on sand and gravel soil, and ensuring horizontal unloading of shipped cargo by the bow ramp, ship's cargo crane.
 
The vessel’s specifics: overall length – 42.60 m, overall breadth - about 8.82 m, draft of LGVL - 2,0 m, full capacity speed - 9 knots, the power of main engines - 2 to 256 kW. Container capacity, 12 TEUs. Class RS: KM Ice 2 R1 AUT3 OMBO.

The shipyard said it would build four such supply vessels.
