OREANDA-NEWS. January 14, 2010. Trasta komercbanka featured the end of 2009 with a transaction in which the Bank sold its direct and indirect participation in Ukraine's "Misto Bank”.

Such decision was determined by the precarious situation in the world financial markets that began in autumn 2008 and that has affected also the situation in Ukraine. In early 2008, TKB acquired a 9,0055% stake in Ukraine's "Misto Bank"  and 100% of the investment company "Rolvenden Standard, which holds a 41,2945% stake in "Misto Bank". By acquiring the controlling stake in “Misto Bank”, TKB had planned to strengthen its position in the Ukrainian market, however, as the world economic situation worsened, the Bank decided to reclassify this investment into the category “financial assets held for sale”.

It should be noted that Ukraine remains one of the Bank's strategic markets - TKB representative office in Kyiv has been opened since 2003 and continues to work in normal mode.
