OREANDA-NEWS. January 14, 2010. PAVA, one of major grain processors in Russia, received another confirmation of impeccable quality of its products - in December 2009, the company won awards at the “Best Altay Product” competition. High-grade and first-grade PAVA flour, widely appreciated by customers, were awarded silver and bronze medals in the past month. The company’s regular participation in the regional contest recognizes its success in constant product quality improvement.

A notable achievement in December was raising quality characteristics of flour, manufactured by PAVA production branch in Achinsk. New grain crop gathered in the local area possesses the highest level of gluten, which allowed to produce flour which outperforms the GOST standards and enhances quality and appearance of bakery.

Further developing its innovative grade “Zhitnitsa”, the Altay company created an optimal combination of baking parameters for the new flour. Now it is offered as a single variety, which can also find many applications as part of a flour blend.

The grain processor also considers new options in its marketing policy. Recently, PAVA started flour supplies for retailer’s private label which promoted sales growth; and after summarizing first results, it was decided to maintain this co-operation on a long-term basis.

In December, PAVA agricultural subsidiary reported full preparation of machinery for winter storage. The company said it was looking to continue farming expansion in the coming season.

Before the New Year’s Eve, PAVA held a drawing contest for children of the company HQ employees, open to all ages up to 14. Following the corporate vote, which lasted till December 25, the winners were awarded memorable prizes, and all participants received beautiful New Year gifts.
