OREANDA-NEWS. January 18, 2010. During the year 2009 the leader of retail apparel market in Lithuania and the Baltic States Apranga Group has opened 21 new stores, 6 stores reorganized to new concept and closed 13 stores. In order to mitigate the consequences of the economic crisis by launching a network restructuring and optimization in the last 6 months reduced the area of the stores by 10% to 63.4 thousand. sq. m.

At the end of September 2009 Apranga Group has closed and the largest store of their network 3059 thousand sq. m. „City“ store, located in Vilnius, Gediminas Avenue. Apranga APB and Gedimino 20 UAB, the owner of the premises, agreed lease contract termination agreement between the parties.

At present Apranga Group operates the chain of 109 stores in Baltic States: 74 in Lithuania, 29 in Latvia, and 6 in Estonia.

Shares of Apranga are listed on Baltic equity list on NASDAQ OMX Vilnius Stock Exchange. Majority shareholder of Apranga Group is concern MG Baltic.
