OREANDA-NEWS. January 19, 2010. Belarus’ OAO Krinitsa, the largest brewery of the country, produced 14.513 million decaliters of beer in January-December 2009, up 6.9% from the January-December 2008 level, a representative in food concern Belgospischeprom told.

The Minsk-based facility increased beer production 8.8% to 14.081 million decaliters.

Beer output in plastic bottles went up 8.4% on the year to 11.744 million decaliters.

Krinitsa beer output in glass bottles fell 11.9% to 1.683 million decaliters, in kegs went up 29.4% to 678,000 decaliters and in cans rose 32% to 408,000 decaliters.

Krinitsa’s share in overall beer output in Belarus rose in 2009 to 43.2% from 38.4%.

Shipments to POS totaled 12.798 million decaliters of beer in January-December, down 1.8% year-on-year.

Krinitsa was founded in January 2001. OAO Polotsk Beer and Nesvizh soft drinks plant have been incorporated by OAO Krinitsa and operate as subsidiaries.
