OREANDA-NEWS. January 19, 2010. The airline has finished last year with considerable growth of all productive and financial performances.

As a whole the last period for Russian aviation branch was quite uneasy, influence of global crises which broke out in 2008 was felt also sharply in it. However, our airline could increase the basic productive and economic performances on average by 20 %. It became possible, owing to competently built development strategy, new markets capturing and exploitation of the aircrafts with increased fuel efficiency. In comparison with the similar period of the last year, airline revenue yield from all kinds of activity has grown on 15,1%.

The past year also became especially significant because Vladivostok Air has transported more than one million passengers, among them 28 thousand persons were transported within the limits of government program of subsidized air transportations for Far Eastern inhabitants.

For 12 months of 2009 it has been transported 1 084 020 persons by Vladivostok Air aircrafts that on 21,4% more than in 2008. At the same time, the growth on internal airlines has made 22,2%, and on international was 19,8 %. The operational passenger turnover has grown on 31,7 % and has made 3 milliard 875 million 63 thousand passenger-kilometers. The quantity of the transported cargoes has increased on 19,5 %. The airline has increased the indicators on operational ton-kilometers in respect of the last year by 31 % that has made 389 million 663 thousand ton-kilometers.

As a whole, the growth of economic indicators and strict financial discipline have helped the company to receive net profit and to keep a position in the top ten of the largest Russian air carriers at the year-end.

In 2009 Vladivostok Air has continued airline fleet updating, having accepted long-haul wide-bodied aircrafts of А330-300 type in operation, which have started to carry out flights from Moscow to Vladivostok, Khabarovsk and Yekaterinburg.

It has been opened absolutely new routes, both Russian and international, including CIS countries. The company has introduced new automatic control system of the flights profitableness and has updated air ticket sales system on the site www.vladivostokavia.ru.

The official airline site in the expiring year 2009 was acknowledged as the best corporate site following the results of the competition “25 sites of Primorsky Krai” site25.ru/about/results.

In the new 2010 the company plans further route network forming-up, using the airports of Khabarovsk and Vladivostok as the main points, allowing inhabitants of the Far East and Siberia to fly in the European areas of Russia. It is planned opening of new directions, including international from Moscow and Yekaterinburg. Airline fleet updating of A330 and A320 type will be continued.
