OREANDA-NEWS. January 19, 2010. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of VINCI Mr. Yves-Thibault de Silguy.

Thanking the Turkmen leader for the opportunity of a personal meeting the businessman informed of the keen interest in his company in developing cooperation with Turkmenistan as a very promising business partner. Mr. Yves-Thibault de Silguy noted that today the business community not only in France but also in Europe and the world were seeking to expand on the Turkmen market that was conditioned by Turkmenistan’s profound solid economic and resource potential and the favourable investment climate in the country.

Greeting the guest Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan, implementing the strategy of large-scale reforms in all sectors of the national economy and social sphere and relying on adoption of scientific and technological advances was always open for mutually advantageous cooperation particularly with the world’s leading companies including VINCI.

Mr. Yves-Thibault de Silguy said that VINCI ranking among the leaders in the world construction market VINCI stood ready to offer its expertise, innovations and a wide range of services to Turkmenistan.

During the meeting the Turkmen leader and the CEO of VINCI exchanged views on the ways to effectively cooperation in very promising fields. The extensive discussion focused, in particular, on the progress in drafting a number of the projects by the French company in compliance with the Turkmen leader’s suggestions.

Showing satisfaction at the French partners’ businesslike approach to cooperation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that the vast opportunities to develop collaboration were opened up under the ongoing large-scale projects and programmes in Turkmenistan. These included modernization of social and cultural, industrial and transport infrastructure, development of rural areas with a priority urban development sector.

Reaffirming the company’s readiness to establish long-term partnership with Turkmenistan the CEO of VINCI thanked the Turkmen leader for the confidence granted to the company and the opportunity to discuss the issues of cooperation during a personal meeting.
