OREANDA-NEWS. January 20, 2010. Ingosstrakh paid out over 285 million rubles to its retail insurance clients in Moscow and the Moscow Region during the last week from January 11 to January 15.

Major indemnity payments include indemnity exceeding 2.2 million rubles to the owner of a Volvo FM, who suffered in the traffic accident on the detour road of the town of Torzhok (Tver Region). The driver of the Volvo did not notice the container truck on the night road as there was no warning triangle behind it and ran into it. The insurant’s car was repaired at the partner’s service station. 

Ingosstrakh paid out about 3 million rubles in connection with the malicious ignition of the Iveco Stralis AT440 S40 truck at the secured car parking place in the town of Vyborg (Leningrad Region) by unknown persons.

Motor hull insurance indemnity due to the damage of a Scania P340 on the M7 Volga Highway in the Vladimir Region exceeded 1.8 million rubles. The accident happened through the fault of the Ingosstrakh’s insurant, who failed to stop the car because of the bad weather and ran into the vehicle in front of his car.

Ingosstrakh compensated over 2 million rubles as a result of the theft of a Mercedes-Benz SLK 200 from the secured car parking place in the Southern Administrative District of Moscow. The car thieves had stolen the keys from the pocket of the driver’s jacket and stole the car.

Additionally, Ingosstrakh has made a number of indemnity payments due to thefts of vehicles in Moscow. Especially, the insurer compensated about 3.3 million rubles to the owner of the Audi A8, which was stolen on Panferov Street. Over 3.8 million rubles were paid out due to the theft of the BMW X6 stolen on Fruktovaya Street. The indemnity to the owner of the Mercedes-Benz GL500 stolen on Yuzhnoportovaya Street exceeded 3.1 million rubles.
