COMSTAR – United TeleSystems (OJSC COMSTAR-UTS, LSE: CMST), the leading operator of integrated telecom services in Russia and the CIS, was recognized as Attractive employer following the results of the Company’s joint work with specialized portal SuperJob.ru in 2009.

One of the leading national recruiting portals www.SuperJob.ru for the third time conducted the survey “Attractive employer” among 165 000 companies – direct employers, running business in Russia in order to determine most popular organizations from the job seekers’ point of view. 

Despite complicated economic situation, during the whole Y2009 COMSTAR-UTS conducted vigorous activity on personnel recruitment. Vacancies placed on the regular basis in the portal SuperJob.ru attracted the most interest of the job-seekers.

That’s why the company not only keeps its personnel core, necessary for successful functioning and development of the business, but also recruits new qualified specialists. During last year COMSTAR opened up number of new business focus areas such as DLD/ILD, wireless mobile access to Internet based on WiMAX technology, thereby new jobs were created", - said Dmitry Karmanov, OJSC COMSTAR-UTS vice-president for HR management and corporate development.

Title “Attractive employer – 2009”, obtained by COMSTAR-UTS is a sign of job seekers’ great credibility and, as a result, indicator of promising outlook and openness of the company with a stable development in the market. The next criteria were taken up into account in drawing up the list of companies. Pretending to obtain “Attractive employer” status company had to recruit staff extensively by placing vacancies at SuperJob.ru portal during the whole Y2009. The second criterion of assessment was job seekers’ interest in company-pretender’s vacancy: average response at every vacancy had to amount to not less than 30 CVs. Besides, while counting up the results average number of vacancies views was also taken into account: only those companies were entitled with “Attractive employer” which vacancies were viewed not less than by 500 job seekers.
