OREANDA-NEWS. January 21, 2010. Tax-payers working on their account (founders of enterprises, lawyers and private notaries) will have to pay a fixed annual tax on state social insurance of 4,044 lei (about 320 euros) in 2010.

Labour, Social Protection and Family Minister Valentina Buliga today told a news conference that the tax would be subjected to indexation in commensuration with the average increase in salaries in the year before. Entrepreneurs working on the basis of a fixed single tax (called patent holders) will pay the same social insurance tax.

At the same time, private people owning farmlands and having contracts with the National Social Insurance House will pay a fixed annual tax of 996 lei.

Buliga added that in 2010, the social insurance budget sees no finances to cover the stay of veterans in spas. This will be in the remit of the state budget which will ensure the payment through the National Social Insurance House.

The death allowance will amount to 1,000 lei in 2010, which makes 100 lei more against 2009.
