OREANDA-NEWS. January 21, 2010. The State Administration of Railway Transport of Ukraine (Ukrzaliznytsya) announced it had established the tariffs for shipment of transit containers in the combined transport route "Viking" (Baltic Sea - Black Sea) for 2010.

According to the company’s information, the transportation tariffs were set on a par with Lithuania and Belarus. The new tariffs rate is believed to attract additional volumes of transit cargo.

The commodities include large multi-sized containers, as well as reefer and tank containers (including tanks with a length at 7150-8100 mm). At that, tariffs for private movers are said to be 15% down against state-owned railway’s rate. The rate of “Viking” transportation route was set at the level of USD 0.176 per container/km. The new tariffs will be valid until the end of this year.
