OREANDA-NEWS. January 21, 2010. OAO Izhorskiye Zavody, which enters OMZ Group, held a re-certification audit of its quality management system in order to comply with the ISO 9001-2008 international standard. The audit was held by Bureau Veritas Certification auditors group.

The objective of the audit is to prove the compliance of the quality management system (QMS) with the requirements of ISO 9001-2008, the ability to reach the target goal and meet the accepted policy in the field of quality.

All the subdivisions of the enterprise, QMS processes and documents were checked during the audit.

The audit confirmed that the quality management system of OAO Izhorskiye Zavody is maintained in working condition, improves and, in general, compliant with audit criteria.

According to the audit results recommendations for certification of QMS to ISO 9001-2008 for design, development and manufacture of pressure vessels for the petrochemical and gas processing industries; vessels, piping, pump housings, containers and other equipment operating under pressure, in the radioactive environment at elevated temperatures, machines, steel structures for various industries were also issued. Issued recommendations provide direction for further development of QMS on the enterprise.

Continuous improvement of the quality management system to enhance its performance is one of the key elements of successful competitiveness of Izhorskiye Zavody products on domestic and foreign markets.

In 1992 Izhorskiye Zavody became one of the first companies in Russia, which certified quality system in compliance with the requirements of ISO-9001 BVQI (Bureau Veritas, UK) and in the State Standard of Russia.
