OREANDA-NEWS. January 22, 2010. Ukrsotsbank announced its intention to resume retail lending to customers with a positive credit history. For this purpose, the bank will compile a list of good faith clients. It should also be added that inability to repay a loan for lack of funds at the borrower’s disposal will not be regarded as grounds to include the borrower to the list of delinquent customers.

Millennium Capital sees the news to be positive for USCB, since, along with the resumption of customers’ access to credit card balances in December 2009, it seems to be a sign of a slight recovery of the bank’s liquidity. Millennium Capital also believes that this announcement intended to stimulate better loan payment compliance is related to the 25% increase in its credit loss provisions in 3Q09.
