OREANDA-NEWS. January 22, 2010. Alexander Tkachenko, Vice Governor of the Tula Region, and Andrey Savchuk, EuroChem’s Director of Distribution and Sales in Russia and the CIS, have signed an agreement to supply the Tula Region agriculture industry with mineral fertilizers, crop protection products and seeds in 2010.

During the year, EuroChem will supply to the Tula Region 75,000 tonnes of products, including 7,500 tons in January and 10,300 tonnes in February.

EuroChem’s own distributor – Agrocentre EuroChem Novomoskovsk – will coordinate supplies and provide comprehensive agrochemical services (from soil sampling to yield planning) to agricultural producers in the Tula Region.

At the request of the Tula Region administration, EuroChem will provide information on the volumes, ranges and prices of chemicals to be supplied.

In addition, EuroChem has committed to apply market pricing principles when supplying chemicals to agricultural producers in the Tula Region, and not to set its prices higher than those prescribed by the Russian Association of Fertilizer Producers and Russian Agroindustrial Union.

The Tula Region administration, in turn, will inform the distribution centre of agricultural producers’ demand for chemicals, inform agricultural entities of the terms of supply for EuroChem’s chemicals, and invite the latter to participate in discussions and panels held by the administration and regional agroindustrial authorities regarding the supply of chemicals to agricultural producers. The region’s administration will engage EuroChem in national agricultural projects in the Tula Region, according to the company’s resources, inform the company of all exhibitions planned by the administration, and consider projects proposed by the company for developing the region’s agroindustrial complex.
