OREANDA-NEWS. January 25, 2010. The Estonian mobile services provider Mobi Solutions acquired in a transaction one third of the location-based mobile applications developer Nutiteq OU.

Mobi's investment into the company will amplify Nutiteq's product development and marketing, Mobi Solutions partner and board member Rain Rannu said. The informtion does not indicate the price of the transaction.

"Location-based applications used in mobile equipment are a sphere of fast-growing demand," Rannu justified the transaction.

Nutiteq is a mobile telephone software developing company established in 2006 and located in the Tartu Science Park.

In Estonia the EMT Estonia Map is available to applications created by Nutiteq. Most of Nutiteq's turnover comes from US, German, Middle East and Australian markets.

Mobi Solutions, established in 2001 in Tartu, is a provider of international mobile services, SMS gateway and SMS payment services provider and mediator of mass SMS sending.
