On Friday, January 23, the last day of the trading week, the Ukrainian financial market ended the trading session in the red, mainly on the back of the negative news from the United States. The Ukrainian UX index lost 2.46% reaching 1600.11 points, and the PFTS index went down 2.5% to 613.50 points. The Russian stock market was also going down: the MICEX index lost 1.78%, whereas the RTS index decreased by 2.67%. The European financial markets registered losses as well: FTSE 100 was down by 0.60%, DAX 30 by 0.90% and CAC 40 by 1.07%. The major US indices fell considerably: the Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 2.09%, NASDAQ lost 2.67%, and S&P 500 was down by 2.21%. The US dollar on the Interbank market closed at UAH8.0700/8.1200 for one USD, while the Euro closed in the range of UAH11.3948/11.4654 for one EUR.
