OREANDA-NEWS. January 26, 2010. Companies of Aktobe region are ready to work in the Customs Union of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus. Several plants that have no analogues in the whole Central Asia, function in the Aktobe region. These companies have already signed several major contracts with customers from member-countries of the Customs Union. Fiberglass pipes from quartz sand of Aktobe plant of nonmetallic pipes are used in the construction of irrigation systems and subsea pipelines, for industrial and municipal water supply systems and sanitation. Corrosion resistance makes the goods in demand in different climatic zones.

Plant of non-metallic pipes is unique not only for Kazakhstan. Its products have already been assessed by the majority of the industrialists of the CIS. Currently Russia purchases 70% of the total volume of finished products. The leadership of the company is confident that work in the Customs Union will greatly expand the markets.

Yan Tampayev, director of “AZNT” JSC:

- We can send freely, without taxes and registration to three countries - Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia. It simply opens for us more free market.

In addition, the market for construction enterprises in the region expands significantly. The Aktobe region is confident that its products are already known outside of Kazakhstan, and find new customers.

Marat Balmukhanov, deputy head of Business and Industry department in Aktobe region:

- Russia has its own production, for example, bricks, but they don’t produce aerocretes. Our region has the company that produces non-metallic fiberglass pipes. In Russia, in particular, in the Orenburg region there are no similar productions. And the products of our factories will be in great demand there.

Production of more than one hundred Aktobe companies had been certified by international standards, suggesting its competitiveness. Tens of industries are now undergoing the necessary procedures.
