OREANDA-NEWS. January 27, 2010. Belarus’ fruit and vegetable juice imports decreased 42.2% on the year in January-November 2009, to 24,025 tonnes worth USD 30.921 million, down 31.2% on the year in monetary terms, the Statistics Ministry told.

Russian juice imports went down 48.3% on the year to 10,290 tonnes, which cost USD 11.036 million, a decrease of 43.7%.

Imports from Ukraine fell 48.4% in January-November 2009 to 4,866 tonnes worth USD 3.989 million, a decline by 45.3%.

The main non-CIS suppliers were Israel with 4,714 tonnes, down 4%, worth USD 8.527 million, down 9.1%, and Germany with 668 tonnes, down 33.3%, worth USD 863,000, down 27.8%. Imports from Brazil rose 180% to 864 tonnes to the amount of USD 1.698 million, up 130%.
