OREANDA-NEWS. January 29, 2010. As it was informed in the press service of the Ministry of Economy, this was announced by the vice-premier, the minister of economy of Moldova during the roundtable "New regulatory practices of the business environment", held within the exhibition "Made in Moldova".

The main objective of the meeting was to present the Action Plan for removing administrative barriers in the business environment that will help to eliminate obstacles to business development, de-monopolize import-export transactions and introduce modern technologies. At the same time, it will allow to improve the position of Moldova in international classification of freedom of business environment.

The Vice Prime Minister assured the local entrepreneurs that the priority of the Ministry of Economy and the government remains the reduction of administrative barriers to the development of the business environment. In this regard, 2 key elements were outlined: increasing the capacity of local entrepreneurs to draw up business plans and facilitation of their access to financial resources. During the discussion the parties stressed openness of the international development partners, in particular, WB and IMF, which expressed confidence that in the nearest future, Moldova may become a leader in advancing reforms.

Thus, the World Bank provided the first tranche of the project to support local exporters worth US22.5 million. According to Valeriu Lazar, the government focuses its efforts on ensuring capitalization of the existing funding mechanisms, including attraction of financial assistance from the development partners.
