OREANDA-NEWS. February 01, 2010. InfoMarket agency has addressed to several companies to comment on the initiative of the Ministry of Finance. According to some experts, there is no world practice of selling fuel for coupons due to the tax reasons.

At present, the company in Moldova, which sells fuel, attracts customers by discounts, often without providing any additional services at the stations. The initiative of the Ministry of Finance, restricting sale of fuel at a price different from the cost indicated at the panels (i.e. with discounts received in advance), will force companies to take better care of their customers, providing them with the additional service.

In this case a different system of discounts for loyalty will appear, for example, they can be provided at the end of the month in the form of bonuses. Other experts note that the Ministry of Finance did not offer clear and established mechanism of further trade and, accordingly, the decision of all related issues.

They believe that such an initiative should be recommendatory and the system of selling fuel for coupons will die itself under the pressure of the modern market trends. At the same time, all experts admit that sale of fuel for coupons reminds of the “Soviet past” and even neighboring Ukraine has abandoned this practice from January 1, 2010. It also noted that abolition of such practice will correct the budget revenues and make them more predictable and comprehensive.
