OREANDA-NEWS. February 01, 2010. The Ivanovo Energy University fifth year students began their pre-graduation practice at the plants of the Ivanovo branch of IES Holding's Generation Center Division.

25 senior students test their knowledge and acquire necessary skills in different spheres: company economy and management, business management, technological-process and production automation, protective relay and electric system automation, etc. The heads of the enterprise corresponding departments and shops are appointed supervisors of the student groups.

In February, the final-year students of the local Energy Technical School will come to Ivanovo CHPP. All of them, also under the supervision of the Ivanovo affiliate specialists, will have their pre-graduation practice with specialization in electric installation running.

According to the students this kind of practice helps them better understand the peculiarities of their future work and successfully pass the last educational task - the diploma defense.

Aleksandr Shekhotkin, Director for Production of the Ivanovo branch, stated that they pay most serious attention to the cooperation with specialized education establishments. "We are interested in getting real specialists who not only know the theory but also have necessary practical skills and know the real manufacturing", he underlined. "The intergenerational continuity is important for the power industry not less but maybe even more than for other industries, and in our turn we do our best to make this connection even stronger year after year."
